¡Hola! My name is Marta, and I’ll be your guide in the beautiful city of Barcelona. As a proud Barcelonesa, I’m excited to show you the most stunning spots in the city, including hidden gems only locals know about. I’ll also give you a glimpse into the real Barcelona, the one experienced by locals. Because the best way to explore a city is with a local by your side!
These lovely people have already gone ahead of you…
“Booked… a Spanish guide through Barcelona. This Spanish Marta took us on a 3-hour highlights tour through Barcelona. All the gems in the Gothic and El Born districts came to life under this Dutch-speaking guide. Every question we had was answered by her. Calm, loving, and informative, we really enjoyed this tour. Definitely recommended for tourists from the Netherlands.”
– Gerda and Krijn (Netherlands)
“A tour with Marta is an absolute must! Marta knows the city like the back of her hand and knows how to find the best spots. We did a private tour with Marta, just the two of us. She quickly understood what we liked and tailored the tour to our preferences. The contact beforehand was also very pleasant.
In short: definitely recommended to explore Barcelona with Marta!”
– Rob and Esther (Netherlands)
“In January, we booked a local tour through Barcelona with Marta. For three hours, we walked through various districts such as El Raval and Barri Gotic. We also visited Mercado St. Antoni, the university building, had coffee at Cafe Colombia, saw the old hospital, walked along Rambla el Raval, and ended at the charming Calle Peritxol and other sights. Marta kept us entertained with stories about the customs and habits of the locals. We now know that there are more bars in Barcelona than hospital beds! Barcelona knows how to live the good life! And Marta, we will be back. Thank you for this wonderful tour!”
– Angela and Arno (Netherlands)
“We joined the tapas tour with Marta on our first day in Barcelona. Marta was on time at the meeting point and took us around the city while telling us interesting facts about certain traditions and events. We then ate in several tapas spots that we probably wouldn’t have entered ourselves. We had fantastic dishes and drinks we didn’t even know existed. It was a fun and relaxed way to get to know the tapas culture with the help of a local! Highly recommended!!”
– Patrick (Netherlands)
“The city walk with Marta through the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona was truly an enchanting experience. This historic district, filled with ancient charm and architectural beauty, offers a fascinating journey through the city’s history. The lively and knowledgeable guide brought Barcelona’s rich history and culture to life by sharing fascinating stories and facts about the old streets, hidden squares, and impressive monuments. From the Gothic cathedral to the remnants of the old city wall and aqueduct, every step revealed new discoveries and immersed us in the unique atmosphere of the city. And the remains of the hidden ancient Roman temple of Emperor Augustus – amazing that it’s still standing. Historically, for us, this was the absolute highlight. What also makes this walk special is the chance to discover local secrets and hidden gems that often go unnoticed by surface visitors. Whether it’s hidden courtyards, traditional cafes, tapas bars, or artisan shops, Marta knows the best spots you might otherwise miss. In conclusion, this walk with Marta is not only an educational and enriching experience but also a pleasant and unforgettable way to explore this beautiful city. TOP.”

“We had the pleasure of exploring part of Barcelona with Marta. My husband and I enjoyed 3 hours strolling with Marta through the small alleys and non-touristy streets we had requested. Marta planned a “custom-made” route for us and addressed all the places and questions we asked. We rate this trip as absolutely “above expectations”! Thank you, Marta, and we look forward to the next time!”
– Philip and Martine (Belgium)
“Marta takes you to places you would never come across or would just walk past. She tells interesting stories at the places where you stop and shares the history of Barcelona in a fun way. Marta also gives great tips for other sights and cool cafes or restaurants. Marta kept me entertained the whole time, it was a wonderful tour.”
– Leendert (Netherlands)
“The Highlights Tour with Marta is an absolute must. With knowledge and patience, she tells you all about the highlights and history of the Gothic Quarter. She takes the group’s preferences and interests into account and adapts the tour while walking. She shows you places and squares you would never have found yourself and takes you to a street with great cafes to take a break and enjoy a nice drink. We found the tour more than worthwhile. We highly recommend going on a tour with Marta!”
– Stijn and family (Netherlands)
“KAYA team on the Tapas tour with Marta! Marta took us on a short walk through the neighborhood where we were staying to tell us about the eating habits of the Spanish. And of course, to try all the delicious things the Spanish cuisine has to offer. We drank the aperitivo of Spain to whet our appetite for the tapas that awaited us. And oh, it was delicious! Marta tells many stories about life in Barcelona and takes you to the best (eating) spots. We really enjoyed the tour, highly recommended!”
– Eline from KAYA Jewelry (Netherlands)
“The tour was TOP! With our group of four through Barcelona with Marta was not only very fun but also really enjoyable. We saw and heard so much about the city’s history. While walking through the city, we were constantly chatting, and the stories just kept flowing. Really recommended!”
– Ernest (Netherlands)
“During a short trip to Barcelona with our teenagers, we did a Tapas tour with Marta. Definitely recommended to do this at the beginning of your trip. Marta not only knows everything about tapas and vermouth but also knows a lot about Barcelona’s history! It’s really fun to have Marta with you, we had great food, drinks, and enjoyed ourselves. Thank you for this experience.”
– Menno and Elles (Netherlands)
“A visit to Barcelona is definitely worth it. On the first day, we did a guided walk with Marta through the Gothic Quarter. “For our visit to Barcelona, we found Marta’s website with a lot of clear and useful information about the city. This lady, with such a beautiful website and great stories, we definitely wanted to meet. So, we booked the Highlights Tour with Marta. All the contact beforehand was quick and pleasant, and Marta immediately gave us some helpful tips. During the relaxed three-hour tour, Marta took us to some beautiful, lesser-known spots and the highlights, sharing fun and interesting facts about the city and its residents. The tour is an absolute must, and next time we will definitely book another tour with Marta.”
