Restaurant Review: Honest Greens

Are you looking for a healthy and trendy lunch spot in Barcelona? Then I have something exciting for you today. Honest Greens is a fantastic restaurant chain that has recently arrived in Barcelona. Their healthy menu, which changes with the seasons, is full of flavorful dishes and nutritious bites. So, let’s take a look at this restaurant!

About Honest Greens

Honest Greens is a restaurant chain that has been operating in Barcelona since 2019. Their first location was on Rambla de Catalunya, 3. Nowadays, they have as many as 9 different locations in the city: from Avinguda Diagonal to the beach of La Barceloneta.

The brains behind this successful project are Christopher Fuchs from the United States, Rasmus B. from Denmark, and Benjamin Bensoussan from France, friends, entrepreneurs, and gastronomy lovers. They were frustrated by their inability to find healthy and delicious food that was also quick and affordable. As a result, they started this small project called Honest Greens, which expanded to Barcelona after its success in Madrid. And successfully so!

Honest Greens restaurants stand for healthy food that is also tasty, looks good, is quick, and affordable. Another important aspect of Honest Greens’ success is their advocacy for as sustainable products as possible and their work exclusively with local farmers.

Their restaurants always look impeccable and are frequented by both locals and tourists. The service is, like the hospitality concept itself, fresh, young, and friendly, making the experience at Honest Greens even more enjoyable.

My experience at Honest Greens

I am a big fan of Honest Greens myself and have tried three of their locations in Barcelona: the one on Rambla Catalunya, Carrer Tuset, and in the Westfield Glòries shopping center. My experience was very positive each time: not only because of the friendly and quick service but also because of the menu, which always provides a culinary surprise.

What can you order here? Well, they have a seasonal menu with various bowls, appetizers, and sharing dishes. Most dishes are plant-based and international; so you can order anything from hummus and falafel to tofu, chili sin carne, or poke. I have tried multiple dishes from their rotating menu, and each time I found them very flavorful.

The prices for dishes at Honest Greens are around €9, and for drinks, they offer unlimited flavored water for €2.50. But you can also order kombucha, a cold-pressed juice, or something else to drink.

In short, Honest Greens is a restaurant to remember if you are looking for an affordable, healthy, and tasty lunch spot. At some of their locations, such as the one on Rambla de Catalunya, you can also dine in the evening.

Would you also like something tasty in between meals or have a healthy breakfast on the go? You can do that at Honest Greens too! They have delicious coffee and a wide range of cakes, cookies, cupcakes, bliss balls, and even açaí bowls! All plant-based and without added sugars.
